Welcome and join us on the repeater!

Welcome to the Web page of the HAM Association of Mesquite, an ARRL affiliated amateur radio club located in Mesquite Texas.

The club repeater is at 145.310 mhz with a PL tone of 162.2

Be thinking of March.  Why March.  It will be time for H.A.M. club officer elections of President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasure.

The Ham Association of Mesquite hosts a FOX (Transmitter) hunt the last Sunday of the month starting at about 1:00 p.m.   Initial contact and coordination is on the WJ5J repeater at 145.310 w/PL of 162.2.  Contact Tim Lewis - KD6FWD for more information. All are invited to participate.

This is what 2008 looks like for activities.

Mesquite Rodeo Bike Ride 2008 sponsored by the Mesquite Rotary Club will most likely be held on June 7th (to be confirmed).  The overall time for the activity is generally from about 7:00 / 7:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The coordinator for this event will most likely be The Mesquite RACES Radio Officer Craig (KV5E).  Expect a call for volunteers during H.A.M. information nets and RACES / EMCOM training nets in the month of April.

The 2008 Ham-Com will be June 13th and 14th and be held at the Plano Center.  Check the www.hamcom.org page for additional information.

The ever-popular ARRL Field Day will be June 28th and 29th.  More information to come.

Other activities that require amateur radio operators are posted on the DARC (www.w5fc.org/) under PS Events tab and GARC (www.k5qhd.org/) under Public Service tab or at www.qsl.net/n5tim/uplist.html.
